A 4x100 team in Texas was banned from the state championships because one of the runners pointed to the Heaven's after their race. “He put his hand by his ear and pointed to the heavens,” said his father. “It was a reaction. You’re brought up your whole life that God gives you good things, you’re blessed.” It is not as if this is an uncommon thing to do either, you see it all the time in sports. It was such a small and personal act that it really doesn't make sense to have these extreme consequences.

So distasteful to hear these things. I actually am surprised that such a thinghappened in Texas as they are usually conservative and not a state I would expect this from.
